International day of Sign Languages is celebrated on September 23 as declared by United Nations to raise awareness of the importance of sign language. It is focused on declaring deaf people's human rights. More than 70 million deaf people exist globally, with over 80% living in developing countries, collectively using over 300 different sign languages.
